Security, Privacy & Business Policy Settings

Password Security & Password Confirmation

To prevent credential misconfiguration and unauthorized account access:

  • Confirm Password Mandate: Password Reset, Team Member Provisioning, and Business Settings Profile forms require a matching Confirm Password entry.
  • Show/Hide Password Eye Toggles: Password inputs feature interactive eye toggle controls to easily verify entered credentials.
  • Client & Server Match Validation: Form submissions validate password matching client-side via inline HTML banners (without disruptive browser popups) and re-verify on the server.

Privacy & PII Protection

LogBook enforces strict Personally Identifiable Information (PII) shielding on public authentication screens:

  • PII Masking: Mobile numbers (******2458) and email addresses (a***n@example.com) are masked on public password reset screens.
  • Anti-Enumeration Security: Password reset requests respond with generic success messaging (“If an account exists, we will share the code”) to prevent user enumeration attacks.
  • Cooldown Timers: Password reset requests are governed by a 60-second cooldown timer.

Enterprise Policy Settings Scoping

Business policy configurations in Settings automatically adapt based on your Enterprise Business Type:

1. Pharmacy & Medical Policy Settings

  • Applicable Businesses: Medical and Pharmacy enterprises.
  • Configurable Fields: Drug License Numbers (e.g. UP14200003502), FSSAI License Numbers, and custom Medical Invoice Terms & Conditions.

2. Jewelry Invoicing Configurator

  • Applicable Businesses: Jewelry enterprises (accessible to SuperUser, Admin, and Account Manager roles).
  • Configurable Fields: Toggle Making Charges, Wastage Percentage, Stone Weight & Rate, and set Default Gold Rate per Gram (₹).

Theme & Accessibility Standards

  • Theme-Adaptive Filters & Inputs: Search textboxes, date range filters (From: mm/dd/yyyy, To: mm/dd/yyyy), and select dropdowns automatically adapt to Light and Dark themes.
  • Autofill Protection: Browser autofilled inputs preserve theme backgrounds instead of turning white.
  • Vector Calendar Icons: Date picker icons utilize vector SVG backgrounds with explicit color-scheme scoping for high contrast across all browsers.
